Understand what creates the result
Annual generation is system size multiplied by your annual yield. Directly used solar offsets the import tariff; exports receive the feed-in tariff. A battery can shift part of the export into later household use, with losses applied through your efficiency input.
Verify solar production
Use a location-aware source such as the official PVWatts calculator or a documented installer estimate. Utilaroo does not infer production from your address.

Why does Utilaroo not calculate generation from my address?
Address-based modelling requires external location and solar-resource services. This version protects privacy by letting you enter an annual yield from a trusted location-aware source.
Does the battery calculation model every hour?
No. It is an annual energy-balance model. It cannot capture seasonal load profiles, inverter limits, export limits, demand tariffs, blackout backup behaviour or time-of-use arbitrage.
Are equipment replacement and battery degradation included?
No. Long-term projections do not include battery degradation, replacement, maintenance, inverter replacement, finance, tax or future incentive changes.
Does Utilaroo store my electricity or cost information?
No. Inputs and results remain in your browser and are not submitted to or stored by Utilaroo.
