Home, DIY and energy guide

Build a scenario from measured inputs and current product data

Home-project and energy decisions combine geometry, behaviour, tariffs, product performance and installation quality. Utilaroo’s tools make the arithmetic inspectable, but they are not site inspections, quotes, designs or forecasts.

Use the narrowest tool that matches the question

Estimate material shopping quantities from measured dimensions, appliance costs from watts or kWh, solar value from energy flows and tariffs, and heating or cooling comparisons from annual useful demand and seasonal efficiency. Keep structural, electrical and equipment-sizing decisions with qualified professionals.

01

Prefer measured annual data

A full bill year, energy monitor or product rating usually represents reality better than a maximum wattage or one unusually mild month.

02

Use current local prices

Tariffs, feed-in rates, rebates, material coverage and quotes change. Utilaroo deliberately requires user-entered values instead of presenting stale defaults as facts.

03

Model uncertainty

Test low, central and high performance or cost cases. If the decision works only under the optimistic case, the payback is fragile.

Before relying on a result

  • Measure the actual space or annual use.
  • Use the selected product’s data sheet or rating label.
  • Separate avoidable variable costs from fixed charges.
  • Obtain professional assessment for safety, structure and equipment sizing.
